Ghana: Coach Rajevac given deadline

    Ghana's coach Milovan Rajevac has come under immense pressure to sign a new contract extension with the four-time African champions within seven days or would lose his job. The Serbian has been offered a four-year contract but a contractual issue with his manager is stalling the process.

    "In the event he can't resolve those issues, we have to look elsewhere," FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told BBC Sport.

    "We pray and look forward to a resolution of whatever difficulties he is facing back home.

    "We have a time limit of seven days from Sunday and on the expiry of that, if the news is not good, it means we have to [begin a new search]," Nyantakyi said.

    The 56-year-old has on several occasion maintain his interest to coach the Black Stars.

    "He has not hidden his desire to work in Ghana even though he's received better offers from [richer] clubs and national sides.

    "But for him the results he achieves with Ghana are more satisfying," Nyantakyi added.

    Rajevac, who guided the four-time Africa champions to the Nations Cup final and World Cup quarter-final, has been linked with a move to Al Ahly but he has denied it outright.
