A match many people described as difficult but at the end Ghanaians might walk over became unmaterialize, when the Cameroonians shuttled the "Host and Win” dreams slogan of Ghana.

It was a counter attack when three quick passes from Joel Epale,Eto Fils and later to Alain Nkong who slotted the ball very easy beating Richard Kingston in post.
The game which was a ding dong affair was at times dominated by the Ghana side but failed to make use of their chances. The injury of Laryea Kingston and the suspension of Captain John Mensah made Essien drew to the centre back.

At time Essien would like to come forward to help as he used to but returns quickly for fear of his back. Indeed he marked Samuel Eto out of the game completely but Emanna Achille,,Nkong,Alexander Song did the work upfront.

The only upfront of Ghana Junior Manuel Agogo was not given a breathing space by Captain Rigobert Song. The newphew of Rigobert Song, Alexander Song and Mbia Etoundi did not gave chance to Sulley Muntarin in the game.

Some few chances that game on the way of young Dede Ayew missed narrowly, and Agogo could not also make use of his chances as he used to do.

Geremi Njitap and Rigobert Song who many critics described as aged really showed class in the game by marking out their areas superbly, showing that experience they say is truely the best teacher.

For the first time in 41 years Cameroon has beaten Ghana by sending them out of the finals in the Cup of Nations.

The real best chance of Cameroon came in the first half when Geremi Njitap free kicked hit the cross bar.

The best player of the game went to Alexander Song and Anthony Annan, winning the Fair Player from Samsung.
