Football : Guinea 2 Nigeria 2.


  1. Guinean national team Syli National de Guinée and Nigerian national team the Green Eagles of Nigeria played their last match for the qualification to the African Cup of Nations. This match took place on Saturday 8th in Abuja, Nigeria.
    Started at 1p m, this match was dominated by the Nigerian during the first half.
    Soon after the beginning of the second half, Guinea opened the score by Ismael Bangoura in the 58th minute. Then Nigeria reacted with 2 goals scored by Victor Obinna Nsofor in the 73rd minute followed Ikechukwu Uche in the 78th minute. Green Eagles were hoping to win the match but during the additional time, Ibrahina Traoré scored the second goal for Sily National. The two teams were equal: Nigeria 2, Guinea 2.
    Now Guineans are the top in their pool with 14 points followed by Nigerians with 11 points. Syli National is automatically qualified for the African Cup of Nations which will take place in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in 2012.
    At the end of the match, streets in Conakry were overcrowded of people who went out for victory of their national team, Syli National. It was a time of joy and happiness for all Guineans. With Michel Desssuyer the new coach, Syli National will go farther during the African Cup of Nations.
