FC Barcelona happy with Eto'o

    FC Barcelona has expressed delight with Cameroonian star Samuel Eto'o's form. The team's Chief Txiki Begiristain said this is due to the player's early season performance. Eto'o was on the verge of being released by coach Pep Guardiola at the start of the season because of the unrest in the dressing room last season.

    Eto’o, who has helped the Spanish side to win several titles, has turned around his season by scoring several goals so far this season.

    “We must not forget that when we won the two leagues, Eto’o was crucial,” Begiristain said.

    “Although during the last two seasons there have been events such as injury or participation in the MTN African Nations Cup, which have prevented him to play, therefore, he is a player with a winning mentality”, he added.
