Eyl, a town in the self-declared autonomous Puntland region of Somalia, has become a pirate haven with more than a dozen ships being held captive by pirate crews. The Puntland government has acknowledged that they are relatively powerless to stop pirate activities. Recently Africanews photographer Sheekh Aduun spent a day with the pirates.
