Egypt still top Africa's FIFA rankings

    Reigning Africa champions Egypt maintained its place among the top ten teams in the world following the latest FIFA-Coca-Cola world ranking released on Wednesday. The Pharaohs moved up one place to 9th place, while Ghana and Nigeria who moved up one place to 16th and 32nd respectively.

    Cote d'Ivoire dropped two places to 21st and Algeria dropped one play to 35th. South Africa dropped out of the top 50 to 51st position.

    Africa's biggest gain was achieved by Botswana who moved up 14 places to 53rd in the world, while the biggest loss was suffered by Eritrea after dropping 12 places to 177.

    Spain, the Netherlands and Germany are the top three teams in the world in that order.
