DRC presidential hopeful seeks financial aid

    A presidential hopeful of the Democratic Republic of Congo Dr. Francis Mboyo Ndombo Bent is calling on well meaning people of the beleaguered country to support his quest to campaign for the presidency. He told AfricaNews the time has come for change and donations are welcomed to champion his cause.

    “There is the growing need for a change of government in the DR Congo. The Kabila-led administration is taking poor Congolese for a ride,” the Congolese United for Change candidate told AfricaNews.

    “It takes a lot including financial support to realize this dream. We are making a passionate appeal to all who have Congolese at hearts including Congolese themselves to support this worthy cause that would transform their lives.

    “No amount is small. Donations could range from one dollar to hundred dollars. We believe little drops of water could help us go a long way to bring DR Congo to a respectable position in the world.”

    The 41-year-old said donors would be issued with a certificate or receipts including other paraphernalia of his party.

    The Seattle-based computer scientist has already been in Belgium and other European countries to engage high level officials and the Congolese community to map out strategies for his campaign.

    “It appears everybody wants a change in the political situation in my native country. DRC is among the world’s richest in terms of natural resources but we are listed among the poorest globally. The social structure has collapsed and there is no leadership since corruption is now the order of the day. Our people are in pain and have cried for long.

    “I have felt the same pains and been through the same suffering. I therefore share the same dream that is alive in our hearts. This dream is for a desirable change in the living condition of Congolese people and the restoration of integrity of my native country in the international community.”

    Dr Mboyo fled the deteriorating political situation in Congo way back in 2000 and sort political asylum in the USA. He has Doctorate in Education with concentration in technology of education, PhD in leadership and Change (in progress), MBA, MS, MPH and married with five kids.

    He had to resign from a lucrative job with PATH foundation to embark on his political ambition aimed at transforming the lives of Congolese.
