According to the contract signed by the Cameroonian affiliate called Forbes Energy Cameroon, the project begins in three regions of Cameroon. The agreement also states that ten thousand hectares of cassava farms shall be opened in the Adamawa, Centre and South Regions of Cameroon for this purpose.

The produce shall be converted into bio fuel and green energy for the production of cooking gas and electricity.

The agreement was signed recently between the government of Cameroon, represented by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Michael Ngako Tomdio, and Forbes Energy Cameroon, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Jean Narcisse Eyete Ela.

During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Water and Energy, Michael Ngako Tomdio, said this is an opportunity to diversify Cameroon’s energy sources.

According to projections, the project shall produce 19.2 megawatts of bio-energy.

Apart from fostering mechanised agriculture in Cameroon, the project shall also generate some 3,500 direct jobs.

I hope that the Cameroon people and government will not make the mistakes of other governments and countries in which the western need for biofuel has depleted and used poorer countries. Such as the case in India with Jatropa and Malaysia with palm oil, Mexico with corn and other where the money went to the companies and the government, the bio fuel was exported while the workers made meager wages, getting little of the oil they produced to even cook with while their lands were raped and depleted, the ecosystems destroyed and in the end they have found that biofuels do not nessesarilly reduce carbon emmissions. The poorer countries are again being taken advantage of to feed the tremendous western consumerism!

It is really great that some people are thinking about the our world. I really support such actions like bio fuel. I think that many countries should produce it. Thanks a lot for informing us about this essential event. Regards, Mike S. from golf galaxy coupon
