The committee said at the website of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that a lot of information had been provided on every match ticket "to enable holders to navigate their way around and locate their seats at each match venue".

Ghana will be hosting the competition for 16 participating countries in four cities across the country starting on 20 January and running till 10 February.

The LOC said for local individuals who would be purchasing tickets on the open market, tickets could be bought from the Ghana Post Company branches and Ghana Commercial Bank branches and at the stadiums.

For soccer fans based outside, tickets could be secured through Ghana Missions and via the internet.

"Participating countries and non-participating nations under the CAF umbrella can secure tickets through their various FAs," it said.

The tickets will sell at 75 Ghana cedis for VIP seats, 15 Ghana cedis for Centre Line seats and 4 Ghana cedis for Goal Rear seats.

The LOC said match tickets would be sold in advance, adding that there would no ticket sales at the stadiums on match days except in exceptional circumstances.

It said when sale of tickets at stadiums was inevitable; they would end two hours before the start of a match.

The Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra and Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi each has capacity of 40,000 all seated, while Sekondi Sports Stadium and Tamale Sports Stadium each has capacity of 20,000.

Accra will host Group A comprising Ghana, Guinea, Namibia and Morocco; Kumasi will host Group C made up of Egypt, Cameroon, Sudan and Zambia; Sekondi will host Group B comprising Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Mali and Benin while Tamale will host Group D made up of Tunisia, Senegal, South Africa and Angola.
