‘Africa time has come and we all need to hold close on how the continent of Africa can be well develop by her own people hence the need for all in the Diaspora to come home and assist’, she said. According to the reggae diva the triumph of Barak Obama as the first Black President of the United States of America (USA) shows a great relief to all Black people that ‘our time has come’ to show how capable Africans can hold their own destiny.

‘With Obama visiting Ghana in the Sub Sahara without Kenya or any other country shows that victory is for all Africans’. This was said in an exclusive interview with the Voices of Africa (VOA) in Accra when she unveiled a plaque in honour of her husband on the Sankofa Wall at the Diaspora African Forum (DAF) Mission.

According to her unveiling the plaque, in Ghana bore a special significance not only to her but to black people everywhere. The DAF was foundered by Ambassador Dr Erieka Bennett with the aim ‘to invite and encourage the full participation of Africans in the Diaspora in the building of the African Union, in its capacity as an important part of the Continent’. Also ADF will provide the vital linkage for Diaspora Africans to become involved in Africa's development as well as reap the fruits of African unity.
