Benin gets set for Ghana encounter

    With just some few days for the final phase of the World Cup qualification to kick off, the French Coach of Benin has named his 21-man squad against Ghana. The match is expected to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region on March 29.

    Among the players invited are the danger man Razak Omotoyossi of Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia, Miaga Abou with Frenc Division two side US Creteil. Also on the list is Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Sessgnon Stephane and blended with two local invited players, Djokoue Patrice of Requins and Salomon Junior of the Benin National University team.

    In November 2007, the two sides met at a Four Nations Tournament in Accra, towards the preparation of the Ghana 2008, where Benin lost by 4-2.

    Information reaching AfricaNews indicates that the Squirrels will fly straight to Kumasi latest on Thursday to acclimatize. Benin which is not far from Ghana is expecting thousands of their supporters to be at the stadium.
