    SOMALIA- Al-Shabaab warns African countries
“We, as the Mujahidin in Somalia tell the government and the people of Sierra Leone not to dispatch their boys to Somalia otherwise they will collect more bodies from here as failed Kenyans do.” A report from www.raxanreeb.com quoted Sheikh Hudeyfa in a statement from an Al Shabab run radio.

“We will fight them as we fought against the crusaders of Kenyans, AMISOM and the Christian Ethiopians.” He vowed,’’ Hudeyfa threatens.

“If they [AMISOM and Kenyan army] were successful they would not have to call Sierra Leone troops to join them. This shows they have failed in their oppressive and injustice reign against Islam.” Sheikh Hudeyfa said further.

The announcement comes as the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) prepares to deploy its first batch of 850 soldiers to serve the African Union force, AMISOM in the East African nation.

The RSLAF has received training, equipments and other support from the International community including US to complement the bulk of Kenya and Ethiopian AMISOM force.

Defense expert says it is unlikely that Sierra Leone Sierra Leone will yield to the latest threat from the Al Qaeda link group. A senior former Defense official told AfricaNews over the weekend that the threat “should not be underestimated.”

Al Shabab meaning ‘youth movement’ or ‘the youth’ in Arabic which claims to fight a jihad or holy war continues to lose grounds to foreign troops. The capital Mogadishu is controlled by AMISOM whiles they continue to gain more grounds.
