    Leading Telecommunications Company, Airtel Nigeria has concluded plans with the world's largest mobile phone supplier, Nokia to introduce an exclusive data bundle package to StepUP Platinum customers on the new smartphone, the Nokia N8.

    With this partnership, people who own Nokia N8 and subscribe to Airtel’s StepUP Platinum / Nokia offer will enjoy 500MB complimentary data for 3 months in addition to the numerous privileges already offered to customers of this Airtel high value package.

    The other benefits on the new offer include exclusive VIP treatment at select airport lounges and Airtel Customer touch points as well as 100 complimentary SMS to any network in the first month.

    Customers who purchase the special bundle package will be required to pay a N1, 499 fee to enjoy the complimentary data plans for three months just as they will be expected to recharge a minimum monthly amount of N2, 500 from the 2nd and 3rd month to trigger the 500MB Internet access respectively.

    The General Manager of Nokia West Africa Mr. Philip De-La-Vega said the partnership with Airtel is part of efforts to surpass the expectations of teeming customers that have been yearning for the Nokia N8.

    According to him, N8 phone is Nokia’s latest smartphone with great benefits including Filming, editing and sharing in HD, a stunning 12 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Camera and multiple home screens personalized to fit consumer’s lifestyle.

    He said the smartphone also has, thousands of appilications, games, videos and more from the Ovi store, free Nokia maps and voice guided drive and walk navigation in over 75 countries as well as 20 exclusive new hits from MI's latest album – The Jam Sessions.

    The Chief Marketing Officer of Airtel Nigeria, George Andah said the offer is designed to empower customers with the relevant telecommunications tools to enhance their personal lifestyles and boost the performance of their businesses.

    When a consumer purchases the Nokia N8 and Airtel StepUP Platinum bundle, he/she is expected to activate the offer by dialling *300*1# to enjoy the benefits of the special offer. Customers on the package will enjoy several exciting benefits including an opportunity to access complimentary 500MB data for three months and exclusive VIP treatment at select airport lounges.
