Angolans in wait for election results [The Morning Call]

Angolans are now waiting for results, after polls closed in the country’s parliamentary elections yesterday.

The leader of the party that wins the majority will become Angola’s new president since long-time leader of the independence movement, President José Eduardo dos Santos is stepping down after 38 years.

An unofficial result is expected by Friday. The two main opposition parties, UNITA and CASA-CE are seeking to make significant gains this time
