Betting on religious tourism in Southa Africa [Grand Angle]

Pilgrimages have existed since the night of the time. And the expansion of monotheistic religions has turned these faith-motviated travels into actual mass movements. Today, it is Islamic tourism which proves to be the most lucrative: It represented 155 billion US dollars in 2016, or 13 per cent of the world market, according to recent data; a booming sector which South Africa should take advantage of, says Unathi Henama Sonwabile.
