Armed police fire 50 rounds to stop and kill London terrorists

The Metropolitan Police say they are responding to a “series of coordinated attacks” across the UK capital.

The attacks took place at London Bridge and Borough Market. Bars and restaurants were busy in both areas on Saturday evening.

The first report was of a van ploughing into pedestrians at London Bridge. There were reports of gunfire and stabbings at the scene.

This was quickly followed by reports of multiple stabbings in the popular Borough Market area of the UK capital.

Reports quickly came in of a third attack in the Vauxhall area of London but this was found to be unrelated.

At least one person has died. There are reports of others with “multiple injuries”.

Both the Metropolitan Police and UK Prime Minister Theresa May say the attacks are likely to have a connection to terrorism.

Opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has tweeted his reaction.

The attacks in the British capital come a few days before the country goes to the polls for a snap General Election.
