Teaching science subjects in African indigenous languages [Hi-Tech]

There is an ongoing debate in Nigeria over using indigenous languages as the medium of instruction for science and technology subjects in schools.

The government says it will help pupils learn better as they have lost interest in the sciences as a result of the foreign language used.

Stakeholders say it is not possible due to lack of adequate science teachers who can speak their indigenous languages and the diverse ethnic backgrounds of the students.

Is the teaching of the sciences in indigenous languages feasible?
