LRA's Ongwen trial begins at the ICC [The Morning Call]

Trial of ex-Lord’s Resistance Army commander Dominic Ongwen begins today December 6 at the International Criminal Court. He is accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including murder, pillage and enslavement, in northern Uganda and neighbouring countries. In the event of conviction, Ongwen could face upto 30 years imprisonment or life in prison may be imposed.
