A court in Kenya has allowed the country’s anti terror unit to hold the caretaker of a hotel where 12 people died from an attack by the Al Shabaab militant group.

This follows the decision by the Kenyan government to impose a dawn to dusk curfew that is expected to last 2 months, between October 27 and December 27.
Kenya’s invasion of southern Somalia, which began in October 2011 under the name operation ‘Linda Nchi’ has culminated into an occupation of attrition – while retaliation from the occupation has resulted in a series of deadly Al- Shabaab attacks on Kenyan soil.
