Benin sanctions over explosions [The Morning Call]

16 people have died so far with more than 90 seriously injured in Benin’s town of tori just 40 KM out of the capital Cotonou. The cause, an explosion at a landfill site where bad products were set ablaze. Who is to blame? In most african countries, poverty and and also an attempt at recycling waste materials has pushed many to salvage what they deem reusable from dump sites, however, many environmental groups have claimed dump site found in many of west african countries are often uncontrolled and harbor toxic waste.
