An Emirates aircraft, EK521, crash-landed at Dubai International Airport and burst into flames on Wednesday.

The plane had 282 passengers and 18 crew on board coming from Thiruvananthapuram in India were all confirmed safe by the airline. It added that the main priority involves offering support to concerned family and friends. Emirates confirmed that there are no fatalities among the passengers and crew.

Evacuation and rescue operations were done with extreme efficiency and care and passengers were taken to safety in no time.

So far the cause of the crash remains unknown and all departure flights from Dubai international, the world’s busiest airport for international travel,were delayed until further notice, authorities said.
