Africans on U.S racism and Black Lives Matter [The Morning Call]

According to Stan Chu Ilo, a Nigerian and research professor at DePaul University, Chicago, in the eyes of many white police officers, being black and male in America makes you a potential criminal, a suspect, a troublemaker, and a dangerous person. The racial bias conversation follows the murders by police officers of Alton sterling in baton rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in falcon heights, Minnesota that sparked protests under the Black Lives Matter movement.

Robert Kodingo and Hannane Ferdjani spoke with George Nkotchou, an African living in the United States, Washington DC area about how it is affecting the lot in the country.
