Arsenal have confirmed the transfer of Gabonese international, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, from Borussia Dortmund for a club record fee of £60m.
The 28 year old who scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga becomes Arsenal’s third signing of the January transfer window after Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Aubameyang became the first Gabonese to win the African Footballer of the Year award in 2015.
The official Twitter account of the English Premier League shared the news.

The transfer is expected to trigger a number of other transfers including Olivier Giroud to Chelsea and Michy Batshuayi to Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal’s move for Aubameyang was completed after the forward passed a medica but the club said on the deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
Dortmund’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, said on the club’s website: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at BVB was a real success story. He scored many important goals and was part of the team that won the German Cup in 2017. We wish Pierre-Emerick all the best for his future at Arsenal.”
Dortmund had previously said the transfer could only be completed after they secure a replacement for Aubameyang.
Arsenal fans hope the strike will revive their fortunes in the league.
