Kenyan soldiers are fired up to retain the title as winners of the East African Community (EAC) military games and cultural events to be hosted by Burundi.
The annual event is being held for the second time in the Burundian capital Bujumbura starting this weekend.
All the countries in the East African community are participating including Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
South Sudan, the newest member of the community is expected to send troops for the games.
The Kenyan Defence Forces won last year’s event held in Rwanda’s capital Kigali.
The sporting activities include athletics, basketball, football, handball, netball among others.
The Kenyan Defence Forces expressed their readiness on Twitter with pictures of their troop striking a Usain Bolt celebratory pose.
They were handed the National Flag on Friday for the games.
