Well globally, tourism represents one of the largest and fastest growing economic sectors in the world, contributing 9% of the global GDP.
At a time when the economic growth of Africa is bleak, and when diversification is major option for oil driven economies in Africa, tourism is indeed an option.
Today I spoke about culinary tourism which a major part of the sector.
They say one can tell a lot about the culture of a people and how much the they evolved through their cuisine.
And one the things that could keep tourist coming back to a destination is the food.
I had the privilege to interview chef Loic Dablé , here in our studio, a renowned chef who’s spoken extensively about promoting African cuisine.
