Africaโ€™s most successful and worldโ€™s second most successful football club, Al Ahly is 110 years old.

The oldest Egyptian club based in the capital Cairo was founded on April, 24, 1907 and has a record 132 trophies making them second together with FC Barcelona, behind Real Madrid C.F.

โ€œHappy Birthday to one of the oldest and most popular in Egypt, Africa and the world: 110 years of success for Al-Ahly club,โ€ FIFA tweeted on Saturday.

Al Ahly, which is the second oldest in Africa after Algeriaโ€™s Club Sportif Constantinois (CS Constantine) founded on June 26, 1898, has won the Bronze medal in FIFA Club World Cup 2006, 1 Afro-Asian Cup title, a record 38 national titles, 35 national cups, 8 CAF Champions League titles among other national and continental championships.

They play their home matches in the Cairo International Stadium that has a capacity of 75,000.
