The Morning Call
Google is expanding its Fact Check tag worldwide with a Fact Check label appearing in search results.
After your search, a link will be presented to established fact-checking organisations with additional information about your search and whether the organization rated it as true or false.
Facebook is also deactivating fake accounts that target popular pages with false “likes” to fraudulently gain more Facebook friends to spam.
Already, 30,000 accounts in France have been suspended to stop the spread of fake news, misinformation and spam.
