Egypt
Egypt is the most successful team in AFCON history (seven times winner) and are looking forward to prove it again when they clash with Cameroon on Sunday night in the cup final.
Despite the absence of the team in the last three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations the Egyptians are counting more on team spirit rather than individual talent.
“This is going to be a great final. That is the feeling I have. I have a great team . I am talking about those who came and those who did not came after their participations in the qualifiers,” Hector Cuper, Egypt’s coach said.
The focus of the Pharoah’s is their 44 year goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary, the oldest man ever to play at the tournament. The pharoahs have had an urge over the indomitable lions two times in the final game of Nations Cup history, in 1986 and 2008.
