Cameroonians on social media mock minister over 'spectacular' handshake

Cameroonians on social media especially Twitter and Facebook have been poking fun at a minister for several days now using the hashtag #BidoungChallenge or #CourberDosChallenge.

The origin of the mockery centers around the Sports Minister, Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Kpwatt (picture in front) and how he stretched and bent over to greet President Paul Biya at a recent event.

The picture that kicked off the ‘challenge’ was taken at a ceremony in honor of the women’s national football team the “Indomitable Lionesses”, who were losing finalists of the recent women’s African Cup of Nations (AWCON) hosted by Cameroon.

People have since been reenacting their own version of greetings cast in the mold of Bidoung’s original pose on December 8, 2016 at the Unity Palace in the capital, Yaounde.

The challenge seem to have crossed Cameroonian borders in some instances
