The slump in global oil price, its negative impact continues to tell on several countries.

Oil producing nations in Africa are now innovating to tackle the oil war, by diversifying their economies. Viable examples are Angola,Gabon and Nigeria.

Kenya’s purple tea

In Kenya, farmers are being encouraged to grow a special kind of tea, purple tea, a lifestyle tea which actually brings in higher returns.

By increasing its production, it is expected to help boost earnings for farmers and also help guard against price fluctuations often caused by oversupply and erratic weather conditions.
