Cameroonian football legend Rigobert Song, Sunday suffered a cerebral vascular accident. The incident happened at his residence in Odza neighborhood in Yaounde, the capital.
The former captain of the Indomitable Lions was immediately rushed to the Emergency Centre of a local hospital. Officials say he is under observation.
He is expected to be flown to France to seek further treatment according to reports in local media.
Rigobert Song who is the current coach of Chad played in eight African cup of nations for Cameroon and won two titles, in 2000 and 2002.
Former captain of the Indomitable Lions Samuel Eto’o joined other colleagues and his former clubs – English side Liverpool and Turkish side Galatasaray – to wish him a speedy recovery.
