RwandAir finds biggest market in Nigeria

RwandAir finds biggest market in Nigeria

Rwanda

Rwandan flag carrier, RwandanAir has discovered in the Nigeria air travel market, saying it is a major traffic zone for airlines in the continent.

The airline said despite the economic challenges, the market remains committed to the air travel sector.

RwandAir Country Manager, Ibiyemi Odusi, said last financial year was a good outing for the airline on the Nigerian route, as its revenue grew and passenger traffic was the highest in terms of growth in the RwandAir Network.

He said for this reason; RwandanAir holds dearly its Nigerian operations, adding that the airline would continue to invest in Nigeria with new products that will endear its patronage.

According to Odunsi, Nigeria passengers have demonstrated patronage and commitment to the airline, she said it was time to give back to them with more quality services and competitive fares.

With the exit of some foreign airlines likes United and Iberia from the Nigeria route due to hike in ticket fares, it is hoped that RwandanAir with cheaper fares on international route would enjoy more patronage.

Odunsi said the aircraft would be deployed on the Lagos-Dubia route next month, after which it will service the Lagos-Mumbai route in December.
