The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has condemned Russian hackers for breaking into its database and posting confidential data of some American athletes online.

WADA said the attack which targeted Simone Biles, Serena and Venus Williams and some members of the US Olympics team that competed in Rio, was carried out by a Russian group, Fancy Bears.
WADA said it believed the hackers gained access to its anti-doping system via an IOC-created account for the Rio Games.
The US is now investigating the case because there’s evidence that the hackers are linked to the Russian government.
The International Olympic Committee condemned the leak as an attempt to tarnish the reputation of clean athletes.
