Former Kenyan president Mwai Kibaki has been flown to South Africa from a Nairobi hospital where he was admitted after falling ill over the weekend.
His evacuation was done Saturday night according to local media although his health condition is unconfirmed.
83-year-old Mwai Kibaki lost his wife, Lucy Kibaki last April after she was flown to London for medical treatment.
Mwai Kibaki was the third President of Kenya between 2002 and 2013. He was Vice President for ten years from 1978 to 1988.
Kenyan statesmen including former prime minister Raila Odinga have expressed their good wishes for the former president.
