Kenyan international Victor Wanyama scored Tottenham’s only goal in his side’s victory against Crystal Palace in the Premier League (PL) on Saturday.
The 24-year-old headed in a flick from a corner kick in the second half at White Hart Lane to secure all three points for Mauricio Pochettino’s men. Spurs drew their first PL fixture away to Everton last week.
In a post match interview Wanyama said about his goal, “It’s hard to explain. It means the world to me. On my debut in front of these fans it’s amazing.”

Spurs now have four points out of a possible six. The club labeled the Kenyan’s performance as ‘‘Instant. Impact,’‘ on their official Twitter handle.
Wanyama, the club’s first summer signing, joined from Southampton on a deal running till 2021. He made 85 league appearances for the his former club, scoring four goals.
Born in Nairobi, Victor left Kenya for Europe in 2007 when he joined Helsingborg in Sweden. The midfielder signed for Celtic from Belgian club Germinal Beerschot for an undisclosed fee in July 2011 where he made 56 appearances.
At international level, Victor made his debut for Kenya at just 15 years of age and has since gone on to become captain of the national side.
