The Frenchman has been the subject of a long running transfer speculation almost becoming a saga as United look to secure his signature and return to Old Trafford.
Pogba has holidayed in the United States over the last four weeks, further fuelling speculation about his future with a series of suggestive social media posts.
Pogba made just seven appearances for United under Sir Alex Ferguson before leaving Man United in 2012 as a free agent.
At Juventus, Pogba made 178 appearances, scoring 34 goals, and helped the club reach the 2015 Champions League final.
He becomes Mourinho’s fourth signing ahead of the clubs’s opening Premier League game against Bournemouth on August 14.
Pogba’s arrival is expected to mark an end to United’s summer transfer business, the club has hinted.
Pogba swiftly responded to the announcement with his own enigmatic message on social media: “When too many people talk nobody understands. Talk very soon.”
