“I want congratulate Pastor (Evan) Mawarire and other pressure groups and other ordinary citizens of this country who continue to send a loud message that the nation is now fed up,” Tsvangirai told reporters
Tsvangirai also congratulated pressure groups and ordinary citizens of Zimbabwe who expressed their grievances over the government’s failure to stabilise the country economically.

Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has not been directly involved in the surge of demonstrations, but the party hopes to benefit from the growing public criticism of Mugabe.
Zimbabwe recently experienced a wave of protests spearheaded by activist groups, top among them #ThisFlag campaign and #Tajamuka which are demanding President Robert Mugabe’s retirement for failed leadership.
Zimbabwean government has warned that those responsible for any further protests will be apprehended.
