Nigeria
Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is in London for a 10-day vacation to seek proper medical attention, his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina announced in a statement.
This comes less than 24 hours after the presidency gave President Buhari a clean bill of health saying he “is hale and hearty”, but the office yesterday confirmed his ear ailment, local media report.
The latest development is coming on the heels of persistent denial by the presidency regarding president Buhari’s ear infection story. Adesina had on Saturday debunked the media reports describing it as a figment of the writer’s imagination.
According to the statement, “During the holiday, he will see an ENT specialist for a persistent ear infection. Buhari was examined by his personal physician and an ENT specialist in Abuja but both doctors recommended a further evaluation purely as a precaution.”

The story that Buhari has health issues came to the public knowledge when he failed to attend an official visit to the Nation’s commercial city, Lagos.
An online medium had announced some weeks back that Buhari was suffering from ear infection, when he sent the Vice president, Yemi Osinbanjo to represent him on a much publicised expected visit to Lagos.
President Buhari had also failed to honour his official visit to Cross River, south of the country and the launch of the Ogoni clean-up ceremony.
