Barcelona players celebrated with thousands of excited fans on Monday, a day after they retained the King’s Cup title with a 2-0 victory over Sevilla to complete a domestic double.
On May 14, the Catalan club secured the La Liga trophy with a crushing win over Granada.
Jubilant fans cheered their idols with banners and flags during the celebration which was accompanied by a spectacle of music, lights and fireworks at Camp Nou.
Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique Martinez, accompanied by his staff and players, thanked the fans for the support throughout the season.
“I think it has been a long, tough demanding season, but with a team of players of this level, a team of assistants who have been completely involved, I think we have performed and gone ahead in an outstanding manner and you have been outstanding cheering us on and supporting the team,” he said.
In the 2014-2015 season, Barcelona managed to achieve a season triple, winning the Champion’s League title in addition to the King’s Cup and the league title.
