It was business as usual for Claudio Ranieri on Tuesday morning as he arrived for training a day after Leicester sealed the Premier League title.
Ranieri was pictured arriving at the club’s Belvoir Drive base, with his players.
Leicester’s striker Jamie Vardy hosted a party for players to watch the Chelsea – Tottenham match at his home. He was seen on Tuesday morning climbing into a car to be driven to the ground.
I am very very happier now because if I won this title at the beginning of my career, now I forgot. No, now I am a very old man and I can feel much better.
Ranieri did not attend the players’ party; instead he flew to Italy to take his mother for lunch and then flew back in time to watch the match on television at home.
“I feel good, you can imagine,” he told reporters on his arrival at the training ground.
“It means that the job is good,” he said, summing up his feelings. “I am very very happier now because if I won this title at the beginning of my career, now I forgot. No, now I am a very old man and I can feel much better,” he added.
The Foxes host Everton in their last home game of the season on Saturday, before Ranieri visits his former club Chelsea on the final day.
