Leicester are going for the title - Ranieri

United Kingdom

With just four matches remaining in the English premier league, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes it is “now or never” for the Foxes to win the title.

The league leaders have enjoyed a remarkable campaign and are five points clear of Tottenham.

They are already guaranteed a Champions League football next season.

“Hey man, we are in Champions League,” exclaimed the Italian. “Dilly ding, dilly dong. Come on. You speak about blah, blah, blah but we are in Champions League. Come on man, fantastic. Terrific.”

But Ranieri say his focus is now on winning the title.

“It is a great achievement. Unbelievable. And now we go straight away to try to win the title,” he exclaimed as reporters cheered the long-awaited recognition. “Only this remains.”

“I talk to my players. Now is the right moment to push,” he said. “I believe. Always I believe. I am a positive man.”

“If Tottenham go over (ahead of) us, congratulations. But I prefer to stay five points up.”

His closet rival, Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino hopes Leicester’s loss of Jamie Vardy through suspension will have an impact on the Foxes’ title challenge.

“I think it is a big impact for Leicester because Vardy is one of the best players and has shown he is one of the best players in the Premier League and for sure it is a big impact for them.”

Leicester host Swansea City on Sunday.

For Tottenham, a date with West Brom on Monday night football.
