A High court in Jos has sacked President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick and his board, the court subsequently ordered that Pinnick be replaced by Chris Giwa at least till the next hearing of the case.
Giwa has serially contested the election that brought Pinnick in office. His cases against the September 2014 election have ruled out by FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
The court has further instructed that the Federal Government of Nigeria to recognise and deal with Giwa as the president of the NFF.

The next hearing on the case is fixed for Saturday, April 30 but Pinnick has been asked by the court to vacate the office of the NFF president pending the final hearing.
Pinnick and Giwa were at each other’s throat in the recent past during a meeting called by Nigeria’s Sports Minister Solomon Dalung to thrash out the leadership crisis within the NFF.
Pinnick meanwhile has served notice that he would appeal the court’s decision.
