Kenya’s Cyprian Kotut has won the 40th edition of the Paris Marathon on Sunday, a month after winning the Paris half-marathon.
The 24-year-old won the prestigious race, which was held in a relaxed mood yet under tight security, in 2 hours 7 minutes, 11 seconds. Second place was another Kenyan, Laban korir in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 27 seconds.
For the women race, Kenyan Visiline Jepkesho won in 2 hours 25 minutes 52 seconds beating Ethiopians Gulume Chala et Dinknesh Tefera.
Jepkesho came third in the event last year.
