Africa’s popular music duo P-Square have left their fans and music lovers on the edge as the twin brothers are suspected to have split up as a group.
Peter and Paul Okoye stirred the controversy with a series of events that got social media talking as well as Nigerian media questioning the multiple award winning group.
Peter first relocated his wife and children from a mansion he shared with Paul and their joint ventures over the years were split.
Peter is still very much with his brother, changing his name to Mr. P has nothing to do with breaking up with his twin brother or going solo.
On March 14, Peter announced a new management team via Twitter and a new stage name Mr P and released a solo single Look into my Eyes.

He also tweeted his live solo performance which will take place in Dubai in April.
Paul, on the other hand, changed his name to Rudeboy and released the song Call Heaven in respect to their parents saying “had it been they were alive it shouldn’t have happened”.
He has since been promoting new Nigerian artistes under the label RudeBoy Recordz and has done some collaborations with songstress Tiwa Savage among others under the new stage name.
The multi-talented R&B duo have not responded to any of the questions from worried fans about the suspected split up but Peter Okoye’s manager, Olatunde Michael, is reported by vanguardngr.com to have denied the rumours about their split.
He is quoted saying: “Peter is still very much with his brother, Changing his name to Mr.P has nothing to do with breaking up with his twin brother or going solo.”
Their publicist, Bayo Adetu, was however unable to confirm the split as “there is no official statement to that effect, at least for now”.
For now, P-Square is no more until they say so and many fans have expressed discontent at the development.
Whether it’s Rudeboy or Mr P, the duo have left a lasting mark on the African music scene with songs such as Chop My Money, E No Easy, Beautiful Onyinye among others.
