6-year-old killed in grenade explosion in Burundi buried

Burundi

Sadness filled the air during the funeral of 6-year-old Don-Chalex Ntugane who was killed in a grenade attack last Saturday in Bujumbura.

It was an emotional farewell as both the young and old were unable to hide their grief for a soul gone too soon.

Don-Chalex and his father were coming from a barber shop when the attack that left several people wounded occurred.

His father who was also wounded is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

In recent weeks, a series of grenade explosions have rocked different parts of Bujumbura, especially in market areas leaving scores injured.

It is however still unknown who carries out the attacks.

Médecins Sans Frontières have been receiving and treating those injured in these latest attacks.
