Rwanda
The Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Mali and Ivory Coast have all sailed through to the semi finals of the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
DR Congo beat host Rwanda 2-1 in a tightly contested quarter final clash over the weekend in Kigali.
The game headed for extra time and the Congolese team, winners of the inaugural CHAN title in 2009, crashed the Amavubi men.

Guinea progressed to the semi final after thwarting Zambia 5-4 on penalty shootouts.
Mohamed Kanfory Bangoura, Guinea Head Coach, said, ‘‘Our objective was to go past the group stage. We achieved that and now we are in the semis. The objective now is the final. DR Congo is a strong team and we expect a tough match against them.’‘

Mali paved their way to the semi-final by beating Tunisia 2-1. During the second half of the game,Tunisia led 1-0 before a comeback by Mali in the 70th minute. Minutes later, the West African team secured their ticket with another goal.

DR Congo will face Guinea on February 3 while Ivory Coast takes on Mali on February 4.
