Egypt are the winners of the 2016 African Handball Confederation’s (CAHB) senior men’s game.
During the match held in Egypt’s capital Cairo, the host team beat fellow North African country Tunisia in the finals.
The game started in favour of Tunisia who ruled the match in the first half leading by one point. After half time, the heated game resulted to the Egyptian men returning to beat Tunisia 21-19.
South African country Angola beat Algeria 25-19 to clinch the third place in the games.
This is Egypt’s sixth continental crown. The team now directly qualifies for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, while Tunisia will have to go through qualifying tournaments.
