Zambia is now the third team to qualify for the quarter finals with a match to spare. Hosts Rwanda was the first team to qualify after beating Gabon 2-1 followed by the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe has became the second team to be eliminated after losing to Mali 1-0.

On Friday, Nigeria’s plans to progress to the quarter-final were thwarted after a 1-1 draw with Tunisia. Currently in group C, Nigeria’s fate and Tunisia’s will be known on Tuesday when they play Guinea and Niger respectively.
