Egypt
For most women, being a first time mother can be a little challenging especially when one has no primary source of motherhood advice.
Inspired by this, two Egyptian ladies created a one-stop shop for new parents offering expert advice, guidance, support and even discounts on baby toys and clothes.
Rahet Bally also known as ‘peace of mind’ is the brain child of Nadia Gamal-al-Din and Aya Fouad that focuses on enriching the lives of Egyptian mums.
“Rahet Bally provides different types of support for mothers. We provide them with intellectual support, such as information, tips, advice, recipes and everything in all the fields that they need,’‘ Gamal-al-Din said.
“The idea was that when Nadia and I teamed up together, we felt like there are many mummy groups, but there was always something missing,’‘ Fouad added.
One such beneficiary of the start up is Jessy Korra, a mother who says that the site has not only enlightened her but proved valuable.
“Now, when I don’t know what to do, I immediately open Rahet Bally (website). I post my problem, knowing that there are more than 30 experts who will respond to my concern,’‘ Korra explained.
The start up which is less than two months old, already has about 5,000 members.
Rahet Bally is surely proving to be a success.
