Morroco’s international, Younes Belhanda, has joined German first division side Schalke 04 on loan.
Belhanda, 25, is expected to bring dynamism to the squad. “We want to increase competition within the team,” the head coach Andre Breitenreiter said.
“Younes Belhanda can play in attacking midfield both centrally and out wide. He is quick, dynamic and also has a good goal and assist tally,” coach Breitenreiter added.
His popularity in the game reached peak level in 2012 when his role with Montpellier Herault SC earned a title for the team in the French Ligue 1. He also received an award as Young Player of the Year in the same year.
He scored 29 goals for the French club before moving to Dynamo Kiev during summer in 2013. While in Kiev he scored 11 goals in 88 appearances.
The Royal Blues occupy the sixth position behind Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga standings and look forward to better their performance in the ongoing 2015/2016 season.
